- Why do people can freely use those resources ? because some other people think that is better to create them and share, rather than create and lock this good with copyright restrictions.

- Other than inform about the projects of others, what does Yaop! offer ? Yaop! offers a growing collection of high quality photographs. You can use our photographs for free and share with others if you will; they're open to be modified or used in any personal or commercial project.

15 Nov. 2009 - EXCITING NEWS FOR WEB DESIGNERS. The news is: the future of embedded fonts on the Web could be a new open format called Web Open Font Format (WOFF). Imagine for moment a Web page where you can see beautiful and creative texts without being just pasted images of text, going beyond Helvetica, Times, Verdana,etc. Take a look at the images below (click on them to enlarge):

There is also a 5 minutes video is worth seeing there -a demonstration of the new standard. WOFF is backed by Mozilla and it's hoped to be used in future versions of Firefox.

13 Nov. 2009 - New software resources added - Content Management Systems (CMS) special. This time we talk about Miro, Drupal, joomla, Scribus, etc. If you don't know what CMS are then read on -maybe you need some software like this but you don't know. What our images are used for? - many people is downloading our images and we'd like to let you know what Yaop! users are doing with them. If you also find our material useful and/or you're already using it and you want to tell us about what you're doing with it, don't hesitate to e-mail us - it's good for you and for us!

Our images are used in these fields: Traditional Art [to get inspiration to draw or paint], Digital Art [in 3D, to have good backgrounds to render on and nice textures. In 2D techniques, as a resource of materials to clip, manipulate and scenes to ply with], Educational [material for brochures or magazines - for school and/or associations], and in computers as desktop backgrounds.
