A Little Incomplete List of Facts (L.I.L.O.F, instead of F.A.Q.)

1. why that name? ... does it mean anything? Well, I wanted to play a bit with words and "Yaop", followed by " ! " seemed to me like an expression of surprise and at the same time it means Yet Another Open Project.

2. where the things come from? All the resources used for the project come from the personal economy and tools of its founder. Resources are extremely limited. Yaop! uses a 12 megapixel Panasonic ® compact camera, a Nikon® D50 of 6 megapixel and a Macintosh® Mini (1,66 Mhz, 1Gb Ram) -other than a couple of Lacie® hard disks.

3. how is the site done and which criterions are used? normally pages are first written in italian and then translated in english. + afer this, we've got pages creation: Due to the fact I'm not a complete HTML programmer I have to work on visual programs like Mozilla editor and alike. As everything is done by only one person alone, this site gets updated in a very "calm" rhythm.

Yaop! pages design go about usability and not about special effects. The whole site have a general tendency to minimalism, from the design point of view. Simplicity and practical structures are the general rules.

4. may I promote Yaop? Yes of course. If your are using our images from Yaop you could consider the fact of pasting a Yaop mini-banner somewhere. Promoting Yaop means to give a hand to a project that is stimulating the use of free and open digital material (free as in freedom and as in "no cost" and open as in "you can participate by suggesting subjects, use it and modify it ") with educational and creative purposes.

> I'm Dario Elle, the founder and mantainer of Yaop!. I'm an italian digital image creator and a painter. I know many other meditation and relaxation methods. For example TM (Transcendental Meditation) of Maharishi, Pranhayama, practices based on water, contemplation, etc. That's all for now.
